Most Romantic Destinations I’ve been To

This Hallmark Holiday comes but once a year, it’s Valentine’s Day and love is in the air… Well for some of us. This is the time I like to look back on some of the beautiful places I’ve been to with my one true love; my passport.

But if you’re in need of some inspiration while planning a trip with your human loved one here it is. After visiting 27 countries these are what I believe to be some of the most romantic destinations around the world.

Positano, Italy

Located in southern Italy’s Amalfi Coast. This cliff side town has some of the most gorgeous beaches and scenery. If cliff side villas and beautiful views don’t scream romance, I don’t know what does.

Oia, Santorini, Greece

When they say heaven is a place on earth they’re referring to Santorini. No really, it’s definitely one of the most beautiful places I’ve had the privilege of visiting. The famous blue and white colors make for a calm and relaxing vacation, and if you don’t catch an Oia sunset did you even go to Santorini? (I’m not kidding make sure you see one, or two)

Paris, France

It doesn’t matter if you’re placing a lock on the famous “Love Lock Bridge” or gazing at  the Eiffel Tower, there is a reason that the city of lights is also known as the city of love.

Lake Lucerne, Switzerland

There’s just something about the Swiss Alps that takes your breath away. Whether you’ve rented a paddle boat or are taking a walk around the lake, Lucerne is the perfect place to visit with your signifcant other.

Florence, Italy

Located in the Tuscan region of Italy, the rolling green hills and lush blue skies are sure to make you fall in love. Tuscany being one of the most famous wine regions in italy gives you the chance to take a romantic day trip to a winery.

Rawai, Phuket

More seculded and peaceful compared to the well known Patong Beach. Rawai is located at the southern tip of Phuket and the perfect location for a honeymoon or just a romantic getaway.

Aruba

A tiny Dutch Caribean island off the coast of Venezula. The crystal clear water and breathtaking sunsets make Aruba a must visit island for a romantic getaway. As a place where it ALMOST never rains this could also be the perfect place for a destination wedding.

Reykjavik, Iceland

The land of fire and ice has been climbing to the top of everyone’s bucket lists, and there’s a reason why. While romance might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Iceland, there is just something about the cold that has a bit of a romantic feel.
